BACKGROUND: Little En Sabah was born as a creepy gray-skinned infant, and raised by nomads in the ancient Egyptian desert. As he grew up, he and his tribe were taken as slaves and En Sabah was murdered. He revived due to his mutant powers, and eventually got ahold of Rama Tut's ancient technology and destroyed his former rulers. En Sabah grew into Apocalypse as he continued through the ages, growing in power and knowledge of his powers and technology.

Apocalypse has almost conquered Earth on several occasions, only to be narrowly thwarted at the end. Apocalypse is a continuous threat, as he cannot be killed, but merely quelled for the time being.

SMUDGE SAYS: First of all, if you look at Apocalypse's powers, he's not the first guy you want to battle with. In fact, he ranks very high on every hero's DNFW list. In case you were wondering what DNFW stands for, it's: DO NOT FUCK WITH. Unless you have no choice and he has chosen to fuck with you first. He is immortal. That is bad because if, say you actually DO defeat him. He will come back. And he'll be even stonger and madder, and probably kill you.
