Gambit

ADVANTAGES: Gambit can transform objects into projectiles that are charged with kinetic energy. He also possesses almost super-human agility and dexterity. He can also withstand detection and intrusion of his mind by almost all telepaths. Gambit is a skilled sword duelist and can throw objects with great accuracy.

*Smudge favorite* - Gambit also has the power of hypnotic charm. He is able to exert influence that causes others to do what he suggests and to believe what he is telling them. Unfortunately, stronger minds are resistant to this power.

BACKGROUND: Gambit is a mutant, so his powers manifest in their teens. He cut his teeth as a thief and eventually fell into ranks with the X-Men.

SMUDGE SAYS: Gambit is very popular character in the comic world. His powers are decent, but he seems to flip-flop back and forth on his friends, betraying them if it suits his purpose. On the plus side though, he has shagged Rogue. On the down side, he has betrayed Rogue and has tried to kill her.

Now, onto Gambit’s finest power. He has HYPNOTIC CHARM! I wonder if he used that power to hook up with Rogue. That’s a pretty good trade off; possibly have your ass kicked by a super-powered foe, but be able to score with every girl you meet, get free food at restaurants, etc… Wait a minute… It says that more powerful minds can deny his charm. We think it would go something like this:

Situation #1:

Gambit: Hey kid, get me an ice cream cone

Nine year old kid: Yes sir.

Situation #2:

Gambit: Hey She-Hulk, let’s get our freak on!

She-Hulk: How about you piss off before I kill you.

Gambit: Yes Ma’am... Damn her adult mind.
