BACKGROUND: Aleksei was grinding his way through life as a Russian thug, when he was subjected to a series of potentially deadly chemical and radiation treatments. With his newfound strength and durability, Aleksei was given the codename Rhino as he set forth to begin a successful career as a super villain that gets pummeled every time he moves or thinks a nasty thought.

SMUDGE SAYS: You’ve got to hand it to the ol’ Rhino. He’s been chairman of the “Bum of the Month” club for almost fifty years, as he randomly pops up here and there to take a lickin’. I have a soft spot in my heart for the big lug. Maybe one day, he’ll get a sweet story arc and actually be strong enough to take on other characters that are big, strong, and dumb.
