SMUDGE SAYS: Robin has always had a tough time in the comic world, and we think it has to do with the campy show from back in the 60’s. Dick Grayson’s paid his dues and he gets to hang out with the Dark Knight.

BACKGROUND: Dick Grayson was just a wee gypsy acrobat in a circus. His parents, the “Flying Graysons” were a star attraction in the show. While on tour, the owner of the circus refused to pay extortion money to a Gotham city crime-lord. Dick Grayson’s parents fell to their death in front of the crowd, much to young Dick’s dismay. Bruce Wayne adopted the young lad and educated him in the fine art of beating the living shit out of people before apprehending them. Grayson became Robin and teamed up with Batman.
