ADVANTAGES: Superhuman strength, endurance, agility and durability. Healing factor, ability to jump long distances, scientific mind. BACKGROUND: Walter Langkowski was a scientist who wanted to obtain powers similar to that of Bruce Banner. In an experiment with Gamma Ray exposure, Walter opened a passageway to another dimension, which allowed him to be possessed by Tanaraq, a mystic beast with great powers. With his new powers, Walter joined the Canadian super team Alpha Flight and served as the anchor for his team as the big smasher who beats the crap out of villains. |
NAME: Walter Langkowski (Sasquatch)
HEIGHT: 6’4” as Walter / 10’ as Sasquatch |
SMUDGE SAYS: Walter has a pretty sweet gig. First of all, he doesn’t have to stayed in a fixed state, like the Fantastic Four’s Thing, and he can change into Sasquatch whenever he needs to, unlike the Hulk. The only downside for Walter is that his team sucks. Badly. Alpha Flight is a who’s who of bums. It seems like almost all the members are destined to die. It would suck to be a part of this team. For example, if you were part of the X-Men, you could go into battle and know that you have elite partners like Wolverine, Storm, and others watching your back. Unfortunately on Alpha Flight, the primary concern is: ”Man, I hope Puck isn’t dead. Same with Snowbird, Mapleleaf, Vindicator... Oh God. What am I doing here? I should go solo. Less stressful.” Sasquatch is not half bad. He can hold his own, and kick most asses that need kicking. But working for Alpha Flight is more like babysitting. But with more death. Actually, not really. |
