Swamp Thing

SMUDGE SAYS: Swamp Thang keeps to himself, but he’s pretty cool. He can manhandle his opponents, and he’s a growing floral bouquet of shit kickery. Swamp-Thing hasn’t had many major story lines but he has a cult following and has spawned a few movies in his honor. His initial story line is pretty solid as well. It is the perfect revenge story.

BACKGROUND: Alex Olsen was a brilliant young scientist. He fell in love with a woman named Linda and the two were married. Alex’s assistant Damian also pined for Linda’s love and sabotaged Olsen’s work, causing his experiment to explode, killing Olsen. Damian dumped Olsen in the nearby swamp and got busy trying to hook up with Linda. Damian took advantage of Linda’s grief and the two were wed. Olsen’s chemically bathed body bonded with the Swamp and he became a shambling Swamp-Thing. Olsen got his revenge and killed Damian as he planned on killing Linda due to his paranoia involving Olsen’s death. Linda ran away terrified, and sadly, Swamp-Thing went off to live alone in the bayou.
