15 Best Classic Video Game Villains of All Time Page 2

10. Hitler (Wolfenstein 3d)

Wolfenstein's Hitler
Yup, Hitler made the list, coming in at number ten for his Oscar-nominated performance in Wolfenstein (the award went to Jack Palance for his role in City Slickers). Doing nothing more than being his usual sack of shit self, Hitler was the final boss in the game, and in a later game he also brought his own suit of armour, accompanied by twin double chainguns.

9. Dracula (Castlevania Series)

Castlevania's Dracula
Simon Belmont has it tough in Castlevania, as he goes up against the king of all monsters, Dracula. As the main antagonist in the game, Dracula sends all kinds of creatures, such as: werewolves, mummies, and even Frankenstein after Simon. If the loveable hero makes it to the end, his reward is a one on one battle with Dracula himself.

8. Dr. Wiley (Megaman Series)

Doctor Wiley
Dr. Wiley is a brilliant scientist, and nemesis to Mega-Man. He was brilliant... To a point. His greatest misstep was making opponents for Mega-Man that only had one power. If he had possibly put all of his energy into making one really kick-ass robot, we might not be having this conversation. But in all honesty, the Mega-Man games are great. Each level is thematically built for the “boss” robot at the end. And when they are defeated, you can steal their powers and use them against other “bosses”. YAY!

7. Mike Tyson (Mike Tyson Punchout)

Mike Tyson's Punchout
Mike Tyson’s Punch Out, is arguably one of the greatest Nintendo games ever made. There are so many memorable characters, and Little Mac has to unlock each opponent’s fighting style to move on. Waiting with the championship at the end of the game is none other than “Iron” Mike Tyson. Be careful though, one of his punches is all it takes to knock Mac out, so you better be ready to fight a perfect fight.

As you may or may not know, Tyson was replaced as the last fighter in later editions of the game because of that whole going to jail for raping a woman thing. Instead of eIiminating him, I think they should have just added that element of his life into the character in the game. I can see it now:

6. Abobo (Double Dragon)

Double Dragon's Abobo

Double Dragon was an instant classic when it dropped in 1987. Protagonists Billy and Jimmy smash their way through hordes of gang members to save a kidnapped lady named Maria. Every time they seem to be getting close to victory, Abobo shows up to wreck their fun. He is a massive brawler that can’t be manhandled by either of the battling brothers. Sure, he may be defeated numerous times in the game, but this ugly mother fucker always comes back for more. With such a cool name, people remember him even twenty years after the release. When Abobo isn't picking scabs off his face, he has a stand in NYC where he offers free hugs.

*Just an additional note on the game itself here, but Double Dragon was pretty egalitarian for it's time. Where else can you smash a woman in the face, steal her whip, and beat her down in the street.*
